IN-KIND DONATION

CAC is happy to accept in-kind donations of supplies for our programming and equipment for our studios depending on the item and space considerations. In order to make sure we are the best option for your gift, we have listed some guidelines and suggestions for what we can use.

We will gladly accept:

  • Drawing and painting media: oil and acrylic paint, pencils, markers, pastels, crayons

  • Paintbrushes: all sizes for oil and acrylic painting, foam paintbrushes

  • Tape: painters tape, masking tape

  • Glue: craft glue, hot glue, glue sticks

  • Paper: drawing paper, construction paper, watercolor paper, rolls of paper

  • Clay tools

  • Printmaking supplies: blank screen-printing screens, screen-printing ink, block-printing ink, brayers

  • Fused glass supplies: large pieces of suitable glass, glass cutters

  • Jewelry supplies: copper or brass sheets, solder

  • Books: art history books, fine arts books

  • Safety & general studio equipment: safety goggles, aprons, latex gloves

  • Select mosaic supplies such as smalti or stained glass.

We sadly cannot accept:

  • Expired supplies

  • Chemicals of any kind

  • House paint
    House tiles or broken china

  • Pre-stretched canvases

  • Frames or framing supplies

We do accept certain donations of large or specialized equipment. Before we can accept these, we will need to speak with our facilities staff and instructors to determine if we can accommodate these types of donations. These could include large items like kilns, power tools, printing presses, etc. If you have a donation you have questions about or would like to run by us, please email info@creativeartscenter.org or call (214) 320-1275.

 

SCHOLARSHIP DONATIONS

 

The Creative Arts Center of Dallas offers a limited number of scholarships per year for students who qualify. Your donations make these possible! To donate specifically to this fund, please use the button below.

 

DONOR PRIVACY POLICY

The Creative Arts Center of Dallas maintains the highest level of respect for the privacy of its donors. In furtherance of our commitment to honor your rights, we have developed this Donor Privacy Policy to guide our volunteers and staff on how they may and may not use your personal information. This policy may be updated from time to time.

What information we collect

CAC collects personal information from donors, including: amount donated, address, telephone number, donor comments and e-mail address. Tax laws in the United States and the State of Texas require CAC to keep contact information and contribution level of donors on file.

How we use that information

CAC will never publish, sell, trade, rent or share names (unless released for publication), e-mail or mail addresses, or telephone numbers of our donors. The Center will use contact information (e-mail, telephone number and address) of donors for these purposes only:

  • Distribute receipts for donations

  • Thank donors for their donation

  • Inform donors about upcoming fundraising and other activities of the Center
    Internal analysis and record keeping

  • Reporting to relevant U.S. and State agencies (these reports are not for public inspection)

  • Contact donors about changes to this policy

While CAC maintains the confidentiality of all donor information, we publish the names of donors by category of giving in our annual newsletter, fund raising campaign and special events materials. We allow donors the option not to have their name publicly associated with their donation or to explicitly choose being recognized as “anonymous” when donating. In all other cases the default is to assume all donations may be publicly announced.

Financial information

All access to donor financial information is strictly limited to professional staff needing to process that data. No data are given to any person, organization or group who does not need to access this data. CAC only uses online payment processing services with world class encryption and strong reputations. We do not store in the office, nor do we have access to, your credit card information, bank account numbers or other account data sent to those processing services.
